MAHARASHTRA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
NOTICE – POSTPONEMENT OF MPSC STATE SERVICE PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION 2025
Whereas, the MPSC had earlier scheduled the Gazetted Civil Services / State Service Preliminary Examination 2025 to be held on Sunday, 28 September 2025, for filling various State Service posts; and
Whereas, due to extreme weather conditions, including heavy rainfall, flood situations, and red-alert warnings in multiple districts across Maharashtra, many aspirants are facing serious difficulties in travel, connectivity, and safety; and
Whereas, in the interest of fairness to all candidates, and in consideration of the Commission’s duty to ensure equitable opportunity, the Commission has resolved to postpone the said examination to a later date;
Now, therefore, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission hereby notifies as follows:
- The Preliminary (State Service / Civil Services) Examination 2025, originally slated for 28 September 2025, is postponed.
- The new date for the Preliminary examination is Sunday, 9 November 2025.
- All other details such as the time, venue, centre allocation, and admit card issuance will be communicated afresh on the official MPSC website (www.mpsc.gov.in).
- Candidates are advised to not rely on rumors or unverified messages; they should check the official MPSC portal regularly for updates.
- The Commission regrets any inconvenience to aspirants due to this postponement, but emphasizes that the decision is made in view of ensuring the safety and fairness of the examination process.
- Any further changes or clarifications, if required, will be notified in due course via the Commission’s official channels.
